Terms of use
Last updated: 27 October 2026
1. Scope
These terms of use govern the use of Kilometra (app, website and related online services), offered by Gregor Scheiwiller, LAB336, Dorf 1, 9411 Reute AR, Switzerland ("we"). By using Kilometra, you accept these terms.
2. Service
Kilometra is an electronic mileage log for the self-employed in Switzerland: the iPhone app records your trips, automatically if you wish, and turns them into a mileage log with a tax PDF and exports; in the web view (app.kilometra.ch) you can also see your trips in the browser. If you invite your accountant, they get read access to your trips and reports; if you connect Kilometra to Bexio, we transfer the bookings you have approved there. The tax effect calculations are an aid and do not replace tax advice. You are responsible for your trips being correct and complete, even when Kilometra records them automatically. The tax authority decides case by case whether it accepts your mileage log. You or your accountant check the bookings Kilometra sends to your accounting software. We may develop, change or discontinue individual features of the service.
3. Subscription and payment
Paid features are billed as a subscription through the App Store (Apple ID). The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Periods already paid are not refunded pro rata. For purchases through the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies.
4. Right of use
You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use Kilometra for your own purposes within these terms. Software, design, texts, data and trademarks remain with us or the respective rights holders.
5. Prohibited use
In particular, you may not:
- a) use, query or read out the service with bots, scrapers, scripts or other automated means, except through interfaces we expressly provide for this purpose;
- b) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, website or software in whole or in part, or otherwise attempt to determine source code, algorithms or data structures, unless mandatory law permits this;
- c) copy content, design or features or use them for your own or a third party's competing offering;
- d) circumvent security, access or usage restrictions or overload the service.
In the event of violations, we may block access and claim damages.
6. Availability and liability
We strive for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence.
7. Data protection
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
8. Changes
We may amend these terms. We announce material changes in the app or on the website.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office or domicile of the provider, to the extent permitted by law. If individual provisions are invalid, the rest remains valid.
