Mileage log requirements
What a mileage log in Switzerland must contain
The tax authority must be able to see from the mileage log how many kilometres were driven for business and how many privately. Here is what is mandatory, what Kilometra does for you and what you need to take care of yourself.
Who needs a mileage log?
If you declare the private share of your company car as a flat rate, you don't need one: 0.9 % of the purchase price per month, at least CHF 150.
You need a mileage log if you want to declare the private kilometres actually driven instead, or if you use a private car for business and must prove those kilometres. The calculator in the app shows you whether it pays off.

Important
This page summarises the requirements and is not tax advice. The most detailed requirements in Switzerland are in the salary certificate FAQ of the Swiss Federal Tax Administration, and Kilometra follows them. In each case, your cantonal tax administration has the final say.
